Infrastructure · Private Equity · Cincinnati & Washington, D.C.
Founding Partner of Reston Equity Group and an 18-year veteran of U.S. infrastructure construction, with a track record on landmark transportation, aviation, and healthcare projects nationwide.
Background
Kyle Motycka has spent nearly two decades at the intersection of complex infrastructure and disciplined business operations. Beginning his career as a field engineer on large-scale civil and transportation projects, he developed a deep understanding of how major capital programs are won, structured, and delivered — insight that now informs his work as a private equity investor and operator.
Over his career, Kyle has managed procurement, construction, and business development for $10B+ in project pursuits across transportation, healthcare, commercial aviation, and rail — including landmark P3 (Public-Private Partnership) programs across the United States.
In 2023, he co-founded Reston Equity Group to apply that operating experience to the acquisition and growth of established businesses in services-oriented industries. The firm takes a hands-on approach: acquiring businesses with strong operational foundations, then working alongside management to build sustainable, scalable enterprises.
Kyle holds a degree in Construction Management in Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
